On the Pulse
Founded by individuals with deep personal ties to Ukraine, the Ukraine Resiliency Foundation was born out of a profound sense of kinship and responsibility. Our founders' roots intertwine with the vibrant tapestry of Ukrainian culture and history, their families and loved ones directly affected by the escalating conflict. This intimate connection fuels our dedication and propels our mission to serve all Ukrainians affected by the unrest, symbolizing our unbroken bond with the resilient spirit of Ukraine.

History
Our Founder and Director, Iryna Gunsallus, is from Ukraine. When the war began, she and Frank flew to Warsaw, Poland and drove to the Ukrainian border to meet her family at a refugee camp. In the four months that they were in Poland, they became incredibly involved with several Rotary Clubs in Warsaw who were leading the way in providing support to Ukrainian refugees. The Gunsallus' were able to successfully bridge the gap between people here who wanted to help and people there who needed it. Disaster Aid USA, Easton Rotary Club, and private citizens from Talbot County relied on them to source, procure, and deliver humanitarian aid amongst Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Internally Displaced People [IDPs] in Ukraine. Even though they have returned to America, with family in tow, the duty to serve continues to call.
